Fixed Rate

by Edward Smith

Fixed rate remortgages will guarantee that you pay set interest rate for a specific or 'fixed' length of time. This is usually between 1 and 5 years, although under certain circumstances the interest rate can be fixed for longer. When the fixed period has expired, you will begin paying interest at the Standard Variable Rate.
