The Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage range includes better flexible products than most other high street banks, and particularly good 100% or further advance mortgages. Loans are available from only £15,000.
The Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage range is wider than most high street banks. They sensibly offer offset and flexible mortgages as separate services (few banks do) which is good- but as ever, unless you're a big saver, offsetting isn't that impressive. Banks also don't offer the best savings rate in the first place, so make sure it's of real value before signing up (the RBS site is honest and fair at explaining rates and fees).
There are plenty of discounted and fixed rate Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage products, particularly if you want to borrow 100% of the value of your home- this is rare, so if you want 100% and some real choices, start here. You'll also be spoilt for choice if you need a further advance; although the best deals are at £25,000 or more.
As with Bristol & West, you can have 3 months free mortgage protection; and if you're remortgaging, they're hungry enough to cancel your existing contract on your behalf. Fair fees, an honest website, and above all a worthwhile range.
