A spread betting term, meaning that you are betting that the higher value of a quote will be exceeded.
For example, Trescothick is quoted for 50-55 runs. You buy at 55 in the belief that Trescothick is likely to score more than 55. Your win is his final score minus 55. Thus if he scores 105 your result is a win of (105-55) x £stake. If he was out for 25 your result is a loss of (55-25) x £stake. In these cases if you staked £1 you win £50 in the first and lose £30 in the second.
