Correct score bets involve predicting the actual score of a match or series, and are most commonly used in football. Predictions can be made at the end of 90 minutes play (extra time does not count) or at half-time.
The odds are dependent on the actual match odds between the two teams. For example, if Liverpool were quoted at 6/4 to beat Tottenham away, the odds for them to win the game with the score 1-0 could be approximately 7/1.
In contrast, Sunderland, 12/1 to beat Chelsea away, would be around 20/1 to win 1-0.
Sunderland are perceived as having a much smaller chance (7.7%) of gaining the away win than Liverpool (40%) and therefore their odds to win 1-0, or indeed by any score, are greater.
