Plot: The film opens with a small Rebel ship being pursued by a huge Star Destroyer. The rebel ship is finally captured, and Imperial troops led by Lord Darth Vader (David Prowse, voice by James Earl Jones) overrun the ship's defences and capture Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). The plot then turns to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), a simple farm boy on the planet of Tatooine.

After his aunt and uncle are murdered by the Empire’s Imperial Stormtroopers, he and his new allies Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), Ben Kenobi (Alec Guinness) and a couple of droids by the names of C-3PO and R2-D2 set off to rescue Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire.
