Plot: An epic masterpiece featuring Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, the patriarch of a New York Mafia 'family'. Vito's refusal to enter the lucrative drug trade puts him at odds with other Mafia families, and a war ensues. An assassination attempt is made on Vito's life, leaving his sons, Michael (Al Pacino) and Sonny (James Caan), to take over the business. Along with family layer Tom Hagan (Robert Duvall), they lead the family into a vendetta against the other mob families, wreaking vengeance against those who betrayed or opposed the Corleone family.
