County Court Claim Form

A county court claim form suggests that your creditor has asked the court to enforce your non-payment. The first thing that you will need to do is fill in an income and expenditure form and details of any other debt, so that the court can assess how much you are able to contribute to paying off your debts each month.

When your surplus income as been established, you will need to split this amongst your creditors on a pro rata basis.

If you need further help in calculating your pro rota payments, contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

When you have calculated your pro rata payments, you can offer them to the courts - the claim form you received should state a return postal address and deadline date. This is all you will have to do at this stage; you will not have to attend a court.

If you need any further help completing the form, contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau or you can find a sample form at www.courtservice.gov.uk.
