Look out for offers of card protection, hotel and flight savings, cashback, travel insurance and extended warranties on goods purchased.
Due to the requirements of a good credit rating, these are often supplied to customers who work in a high salary bracket, around £25-30k per annum. This also gives gold and platinum cards the image of being a respectable status symbol.
